Night shift above the rooftops

Moon Fence Cat

Moon Fence Cat, a pixel-art cat in a red scarf, under the moon

One fence. One moon. No missed patrols.

Nightly Rounds

At dusk, Moon Fence Cat clocks in where the last garden post meets the sky. The route covers seven roofs, one leaning chimney, and every rail warmed by sunset. The moon handles visibility. The scarf handles wind direction. If a post creaks, the cat sits on it until the problem becomes somebody else’s morning. No report is filed unless the gate opens twice without permission.

Fence Practice

  • Post Balance

Four paws settle on the narrowest post before one loose nail starts complaining.

  • Moon Check

Every circuit pauses at the eastern rail until the bright side clears all seven roofs.

  • Scarf Bearing

The tail follows instinct; the scarf reports crosswind, chimney smoke, and approaching laundry.

Fence Practice

Three habits hold the whole shift.

Keep the moon above the fence.
